Scottish salons to open in Phase 3
Nicola Sturgeon announced today that “retail services including hairdressers” will be allowed to re-open as part of ‘Phase 3’ alongside pubs and restaurants as part of their ‘COVID-19 – Framework for Decision Making’.
No date has been announced to when this phase starts, although to progress from Phase 2 to Phase 3, the WHO six criteria must continue to be met. In addition, R would require to be consistently below 1 and there must be a further sustained decline in infectious cases.
Sturgeon said about hair salons re-opening that they are “a priority, I know, for almost every woman in the country and some men.” We’re glad some men in Scotland want their hair cut too.
